How it’s New York: It’s being held in New Jersy (which is nearby New York), Also, several of the Mid-Atlantic region of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann’s branches are based in New York. Also, all three of this year’s Hall of Fame inductees have roots in New York.
How it’s Irish: This regional fleadh (and the others like it) qualifies players of traditional music to go Ireland and compete for the coveted “All-Ireland” title. This year, Comhaltas’s All-Ireland fleadh will be held August 12-18 in Derry City.
