Folk singer/songwriter Mickey Coleman is the latest sensation to hit the Irish folk music scene. A native of Ardboe Co. Tyrone and a former GAA all-Ireland medallist (2003), Mickey comes from a long line of artists and musicians. Mickey’s a talented and soulful songwriter who remains true to the classic folk tradition by drawing on the rich musical influences of his heritage and blending them with the formative influences of his own life. A renowned live performer, his captivating songs include; ‘The Brantry Boy’, ‘My Coalisland Girl’ ‘The Holylands Belfast’ and ‘Kilkeel Fishermen’.

Mickey has released two albums “Carefully Crafted” and “A Mothers Lullaby”.
Mickey has shared the stage with some of Ireland’s top musical artists such as The Chieftains, Cara Dillon, Francis Black, Liam Reilly and Bagatelle, Steve Cooney and many more.

We’re also delighted to have Bernard Smith, another accomplished singer/songwriter as our opening act for the evening. Bernard is a Dubliner based in the Rockaways and he’s no stranger to the stage at the New York Irish Center where he has entertained us with his music, his acting and his directorial skills.
Doors Open at 7.30pm for hospitality in our downstairs cafe/bar area which there’s a warm welcome for all. Showtime 8.30pm
