Join us for our beloved traditional Irish music series! Each concert will feature a different musician or group of musicians, including fiddlers, flutists, and even uilleann pipers. Admission is $15 at the door.
September 13 — Ivan Goff and Katie Linnane: Dublin-born Ivan Goff is one of the foremost uilleann pipers of our time, with a stellar resume of recordings, performances and collaborations. He will be partnered for this concert with New Yorker Katie Linnane, a fiddle player endowed with great technique, style and taste.
October 4 — Sean Quinn and Brendan Dolan: When Sean became the first American-born musician to win an All-Ireland fiddle championship in 1965, he was still in his teens. But by that time, he had already been playing for years with the great fiddlers of Irish New York in the 1950s and ‘60s, including Paddy Killoran, “Lad” O’Beirne and his own bandleader father Louis Quinn. In addition to sharing his fiddle playing and original compositions, Sean will relate some tales of his half century in New York Irish music. Piano backing by Brendan Dolan.
November 15 — Siobhán and Willie Kelly: Siobhán grew up in a musical family in County Clare. Her husband Willie, though born in New Jersey, is very much on the same musical wavelength, sharing Siobhán’s devotion to the old-time style of east Clare and east Galway.
December 13 — Shannon Heaton, George Keith and Yann Falquet: Flute player Shannon and fiddler George are both American-born musicians based in Boston. Practiced veterans with marvelous technical mastery, they share a passion for genuine Irish traditional style. Guitar backing from acclaimed Québec guitarist Yann Falquet.
