I didn’t…I wasn’t…I amn’t…(an un-romantic comedy) will have it’s NY premiere screening as part of Irish Screen America’s NY showcase of Irish Shorts on
Sunday, October 27th @ 5:30pm- 7:30pm
The film stars Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders, The Wire), Laoisa Sexton, Neili Conroy, Iris Tipper.
This is the debut film by Irish actress Laoisa Sexton.
The 25 minute film was recently nominated for a ZeBBie Award from the Writer’s Guild of Ireland, it was the Winner of Best Actress for Laoisa Sexton at the Wexford Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Short at the recent International Golden Door Film Festival.
Described as a dark un-romantic comedy, the story follows a lonely woman who falls for the charms of a smooth-talking, sexy, wealthy older man.
The film was adapted from the play FOR LOVE, the Off Broadway hit that was produced at the Irish Repertory Theatre, NYC, also penned and starring Laoisa Sexton.
