Witness her first ever visit to a psychologist as she unwittingly discloses her hilarious and heart-breaking story, leaving a mark on those who remember those isolating teenage year.
COLETTE FORDE (playwright) was born in Dublin, February 1983 but moved to Manchester later that same year. She started acting at the age of 6 up to the age of 19 and then took a break to be a lead vocalist and dancer in the U.K. Taking an unexpected turn 10 years later, Colette qualified Support Teaching and Learning Assistant, working in a one-to-one capacity with children of additional needs and supporting lower ability groups in various schools.Colette is now a well-established professional actress and singer/songwriter in Cork City since her return to Ireland. Her collaboration on Funky Love won an Honorable Mention in an American Songwriting Competition in 2010 and she has just recently become a published songwriter. Colette has been active in both fields for the last 15 years and her performances in short films were critically acclaimed (‘Ted’ in 2016’s Cork Indie Film Festival) and she also won a special mention for her performance in (Dublin’s Elevation Indie Film Festival,2017 ) Spotlight Award Winner: ‘Hush Clowns’ for her and the casts’ ”Excellent performances.” Colette has been writing since 2014 and in 2017 her self-penned One Woman performance of ‘innit’ (also a mockumentary film), sold out, garnering rave reviews on its first run. Colette is going back to college in September to study ‘Youth and Community Work’ to develop ‘Teen Speak’, as well as writing another One Woman Show, a film, and touring ‘innit’.
