Curated by Nick Laird, our eighth annual PoetryFest showcases an array of top poets from Ireland and the U.S. for three days of readings, conversations, and signings. PoetryFest celebrates not only the chemistry between Irish and U.S. poetry, but also some good old-fashioned conviviality in the intimate atmosphere of Irish Arts Center.
Participating poets include O’Shaughnessy Award-winner Tom French, Pulitzer Prize-winner Yusef Komunyakaa, poet and chief poetry critic for The Irish Times John McAuliffe, Pulitzer Prize-winner Sharon Olds, American Book Award-winner Jericho Brown, Rooney Prize-winner Doireann Ní Ghríofa, The New York Review of Books Senior Editor Jana Prikryl, Kimbilio and Cave Canem Fellow Rachel Eliza Griffiths, and more.
After each event the poets will gather in the gallery to mingle with the audience and sign books.
We are a group of writers who love Irish and Celtic arts. Some of us are performers; musicians; actors; some of us are authors; some of us journalists. Check this out for a list of our writers!
We would love to hear from you! Thoughts, suggestions, anything at all! Drop us a line.
