John Munnelly at CEOL – The Irish Room in Brooklyn

October 9, 2013 @ 7:45 pm - 10:00 pm

Free

Haven’t you been missing the vibe of a real Irish country bar like CEOL?

Come along on any Wednesday to Ceol in Smith Street Brooklyn and take a gawk at the old time CIE tourism posters, a hunting horn, an old style film camera and the odds and ends that end up wal-lified in any “don’t-take-us-too seriously but do-enjoy-yourself pub”. It has a back yard as well for meditating and one of the best star gazing with drink seats anywhere.

If that was not enough on the ambiance and extras you can nosh into proper Irish chips, fish and bangers while listening to two of NYCs best Irish Songwriters  – one the genial and chirpy Niall Connolly and the feature act of the night – the artist formerly known as LaughJohnLaugh – John Munnelly.

John is a singer of songs so diverse and different that we are lucky its just a feature set and he may get pinned down into the singer-songwriter genre so we can take a good listen to him. Recommended.

Here is a more formal intro to the works of Mr Munnelly –
