Come along on Monday, November 13th at 8pm to see traditional singer and frontman for the Hothouse Flowers, Liam O’Maonlai, along with Brooklyn born singer/songwriter Xavier Cardriche at the LIC Bar in Long Island City.
Long a proponent of independent and innovative music, the LIC Bar presents musicians both in their bar setting and in their intimate outside space. A lovely wooden structure with a fireplace that makes for a cozy and up-close experience with the performers.
I’ve seen Liam perform here before and you are in for a treat!
As for Xavier here is a snippet from his website bio: “Xavier Cadriche is the quintessential American artist – a singer/songwriter who is a self-taught guitar player, educated and skilled in filmmaking, and a natural-born poet and storyteller in his own right. It’s no matter of coincidence that he has come to be known as the ‘Bard of Brooklyn.’ Born and raised in New York to a schoolteacher and truck-driver, Xavier began exploring music through his family, friends, and the all-pervading streaming sounds of the radio. Accompanying his father on lengthy road trips, Xavier was also captivated by the different lifestyles and subcultures of each community they traveled thru.”
