The 14th annual Tartan Day on Ellis Island celebration returns April 10-12, 2015 with a new exhibition entitled, “Captain Kidd and the Hangman’s Noose.” Come learn about the infamous Kidd, born in Dundee, Scotland and quite a fixture of the New Amsterdam (NYC) social scene. Music and dance programs are also being offered free-of-charge!
Performers include the NY Celtic Dancers, Jerry the Piping Pirate, John the Kilted Juggler, fiddler Amy Beshara, guitarist Max Carmichael and the Rampant Lion Pipe Band.
