Taste of the Yeats Summer School

Celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of William Butler Yeats with a full day of talks and readings.

This annual day of all things Yeats, organized by the Yeats Society of NY in partnership with GIH NYU, is just a taste of a two-week program in Sligo, Ireland, that includes a tour of “Yeats Country.”

This year’s Taste of the Yeats Summer School includes talks by Patricia Coughlan of University College Cork, John Harrington of Fordham University, Lucy McDiarmid of Montclair State University, Howard Keeley of Georgia Southern University, and poet Nuala Ni Dhomhnaill. Along with a full day of programs, there will be information on the55th Yeats Summer School in County Sligo.

Prof. Lucy McDiarmid will also be speaking at Glucksman Ireland House NYU on Thursday, April 9th at 7pm to launch her new book, Poets and the Peacock Dinner: The Literary History of a Meal.

Registration is available both in person at the door or get a $5 discount by registering in advance.
