Our sixth annual PoetryFest celebrates Ireland and America’s great literary connection by showcasing an unparalleled array of much-published and award-winning poets. The only New York festival of its kind, PoetryFest immerses participants in an intimate and creative atmosphere filled with readings, storytelling, book signings, conversations, and more.
Rita Ann Higgins, author of nine collections of poetry, a winner of the Peadar O’Donnell Award and a member of Aosdana. She was born and lives in Galway.
Robert Pinsky, Pulitzer Prize nominee essayist, literary critic, translator, author of eight collections of poetry and former Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress. He was awarded the PEN/Voelker Prize for Poetry in 2004.
