Dónal Clancy is one of the top guitarists in Irish music and is now blossoming as a singer as well. He launched his musical career as an accompanist for his father Liam Clancy (of the famous brother act) and uncle Robbie O’Connell, and has since toured and recorded with the County Waterford-based group Danú. Following his father’s death, Dónal finally embraced the Clancy family singing tradition and has recently issued his debut solo vocal recording, Songs of a Roving Blade.
